March 18th-19th AZ350Z joined NICO at the 2006 NOPI nationals for two fun filled days full of good food, racing, drifting, car shows and stunning ladies. A big thanks to NICO who was kind enough to share a tent and food with our guys from AZ350Z. They were also kind enough to provide some lovely models, who along with the gorgeous ladies from AZCoverGirls provided plenty of eye candy for all, drawing a large crowd of onlookers wherever they went. There was also plenty of female action courtesy of the Nopi Chic's, penthouse magazine, and the bikini contest. Xbox was on hand with a tent featuring a few games on some big screen TV's and some couches, which came in handy on sunday when it rained and was freezing cold. A few guys threw their cars on the dyno to see what they could do Cody's freshly turbo'd G35 put out 330 horspower and 320 lbs of torque to the wheels, not bad considering it has yet to be tuned properly. Don's APS powered single turbo 350Z drew some attention as it roared its way to 421 horsepower and a jaw dropping 505 lbs of torque on pump gas. Other highlights of the weekend include AZ350Z walking away with several trophys including first place 350Z/G35 in street class and Cody winning a top car show position and $300. Cody also got to have his car featured on Nopi Tunervision seen on speed channel and got interviewed by a gorgeous NOPI Chick. To finish the day off AZ350Z also walked away with the largest trophy of all, winning the club participation award for having the largest turnout of any club, despite scion offering to pay entry for 100 scions. Way to go AZ350Z!
